The Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) has replaced the Physician Voluntary Reporting Program (PVRP)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is taking the next step in reporting information on physician quality of care. CMS is working to implement physician quality reporting on care delivered in the second half of 2007 through the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI).
